HR Consult Group AG has carried out a comprehensive survey which paints a clear picture of how candidates perceive and rate their experience of working with recruitment consultancies. The results of this study, in which an impressive 518,653 candidates took part, are clear evidence of the positive role that recruitment consultancies play in today’s world of work.
Extensive survey provides insightful findings
In the study, participants were asked to answer 38 questions on the topic of „recruitment consultancies“. With over 10,000 responses, the survey provides, for the first time, a comprehensive picture of opinions regarding the service and image of recruitment consultancies. Of particular interest are the answers to the open-ended questions, which provide insights into candidates’ wishes, ideals and current experiences when dealing with recruitment consultancies.
Recruitment agencies as a bridge between candidates and companies
The survey results show that the majority of candidates – an average of 76 % – believe that recruitment consultancies are successful in finding the right candidate for a company whilst representing the company’s interests. From the candidates’ perspective, an average of 48 % view recruitment consultancies as effective intermediaries who help them find the right job and represent their interests.
Interestingly, almost two-thirds of younger candidates (aged 18–34) regard recruitment consultancies as their ideal advocates and points of contact when looking for a job.
Expert opinion highlights the importance of recruitment consultancies
Mr Matthias Barhainski sums it up perfectly: In this age of digitalisation, both companies’ expectations of their future employees and candidates’ expectations of a new employer are rising. Successful recruitment consultancies recognise and meet these dual expectations. They represent the company to the outside world whilst, at the same time, bringing candidates into the company.
The younger generation of specialists and managers, in particular, recognise the added value that a recruitment consultant offers. This lies primarily in their expert analysis of the company’s requirements and in the support they provide during negotiations with the company.
Conclusion: A win-win situation for everyone involved
The results of the survey and the views of experts such as Mr Barhainski confirm that working with recruitment consultancies is a win-win situation for candidates and companies alike. In a world where the demands on both sides are constantly growing, recruitment consultancies provide an indispensable link that effectively and competently meets the needs of both parties.
